I'm in the middle of a really exciting month.

Started out with a night in Harbin, last Tuesday, the first of my "first Tuesdays" "Magical Dance" at Harbin Hot Springs. I'll be there every first Tuesday for the rest of the year.

Friday night I drove up to Shasta Gathering at Stewart Mineral Springs. Played in the Abstract Lounge on Friday with DJ Layla.

This, after a month travelling to hawaii and oregon, and Tribal Fest ... not a bad way to spring into summer.

So, coming up this Friday will be my first night at Berkeley Dance Jam (Thanks to DJ Dragonfy & Rhythmystic for recommending me). I'll be spinning a downtempo set in the warm room. 8:30pm-12:30pm.

Then, Saturday i'll be with my homies Jimmy, Vicki, Suman & the Dhol Rhythms crew, plus special guest in the house from 'Kollektiv' Chicago - Radiohiro.
Glad to be connecting with Radiohiro again after sharing the decks at Worldly.
I Highly recommend checking out the Nonstop Bhangra nights. They've become somewhat of a phenomenon - while holding down a tight family feel with a diverse audience really adding to the vibe of the night. This is not your typical desi party. The crew have created a night that has seriously diversified bhangra by bringing in some of the most unique DJs from different genres to express their vision of bhangra. It's been pretty crazy sweet. We've had some wicked sets by DJ Sep, J Boogie, Maneesh the Twister, and meny others bringing in their own unique styles to the bhangra dance floor.

I've become a Triple Power Junkie. Me and Susie (SooozhyQ) both - we can't get enough.
Giamma gave me the opportunity to spin at their Nextaid Benefit a few months back - I had an awesome time spinning - with Mara on vocals with me - and am Extra excited about this upcoming one. I'll be spinning an opening set with SooozhyQ on doumbek, we'll have Frederique in the haus, and DJ Dragonfly + Breakbeat Buddha. DJ Dragonfly was my first inspiration that sparked my brain to get into the Global DJ culture and also gave me numerous opportunities, introduced me to many great people who in turn introduced me to more. I'm really excited to be on the bill again with him - and of course with Giamma.

Ending the month - I get to host the folks who 'Massivized' (don't check the dictionary) the Asian Underground scene in SF, and are making their way through NYC, Vancouver, and the UK in their global massive takeover. This is going to be a very special night. We have the Original Dhamaal soundsystem DJs together again at their home - Club Six. Dhruva is back in town on tour with Sub Swara. Our homie Sunder will be joining us too, along with Haj from the Freek Factory in NY. The 3 of them will bump, scratch & bang up the dancefloor with a Sub Swara live set, surrounded by Dhamaal brothers Maneesh the Twister & Janaka Selekta.
I'll be opening the night, followed by Kush Arora (been fortunate to be connecting with this amazing artist) and dance performances by the one and only Frederique (drum roll...) and Haven, who we've succesfully managed to nab upon her arrival from Arizona. I'm so glad we have Haven. You will be to when you see her dance.
